The 4th Sunday of August is Hug Detroit Day (always) and as we celebrate our 9th year this will be an extra special year due to the covid ordinance in the city being lifted. We will definitely be getting back to the Hugs and Handshakes that have shaped our city. For the past 8 years, we have partnered up with some of the "best of the best" Detroiters in our great city. Hug Detroit Day has traveled to the east, west, north and south sides of Detroit with our block party's, backpack and coat drives. But this year, with your help, we will take Hug Detroit Day across metro Detroit. We will be joining forces with over 20 community participants across Detroit. They have agreed to host their very own, Hug Detroit Day Block Party and Backpack Drive. We will be honored, if we can add you to the list.
