This will be a day of giving and celebrating the true meaning of the holidays.

During the winter season and tough economic times, we collect warm items such as coats, socks, blankets etc, to do our part in helping keep the homeless, and less fortunate warm during the fall and winter months.  Many of the people we serve are shelter-less, living in Detroit, and the surrounding metro Detroit area.  We also collect for people living in shelters and orphanages.  Donations are welcome at any time, however, our biggest collection times start around the end of October each year and ends the week before Christmas. This year, we’re keeping most drop spots open through the holidays.

Hardship knows no boundaries. We all share this city that we call home, so we also should share in the responsibility of helping our neighbors in need in person or anonymously. Every single item we receive is a huge help toward our mission.  If every person that's heard of Hug Detroit Day donated at least one item, we would exceed our goal every year.  Please help in one of these ways?

  1. Please Bring Your NEW or Gently Used Coats, Hats, Scarves, Gloves, Socks, Blankets and Sleeping Bags etc, to our Hug Detroit Day Coat & Blanket Drive at the Tangent Gallery, December 8th.

  2. Hold your own Coat & Blanket Drive in your workplace, and come celebrate with other givers December 8th at the Tangent Gallery dropping off your load of coats & blankets.

  3. To drop off donation:  NSO 882 Oakman BLvd Suite C; https://www.nso-mi.org ... C/O HUG Detroit Day

If you are unable to donate on December 8th and would like to make a contribution go to cashapp $yahbella or via paypal at unlimitedskyproduction313@gmail.com

Please email Hug Detroit Day for more information. All of the items donated will go to local families and warming shelters.
